SOL Clash Whitepaper
SOL Clash is a competitive Flappy Bird game built on the Solana blockchain. Players flap through pipe arenas, collect $GOLD tokens and Seeds during gameplay, climb the leaderboard, and build a hatchery of Nests that generate passive Eggs — all from a browser, with zero crypto setup required.
What is SOL Clash?
SOL Clash is a browser-based competitive game where every run through the Flappy Bird pipe arena earns you real in-game rewards. No wallet extension needed. Sign in with Google, GitHub, or Discord, and a Solana custodial wallet is created for you instantly. You can be playing and earning within 60 seconds of first visiting the site.
The game has two modes: Free to Play (practice, no cost, no rewards) and Competitive (costs 1 Energy per run, earns $GOLD, Seeds, Battle Points, and EXP). Rewards are bigger with better Nests and higher player rank.
Core pillars
Skill-based earnings
Higher scores = more $GOLD and BP per run. Your performance dictates your income.
On-chain rewards
$GOLD swaps to real SOL via an on-chain store-wallet transaction. Every payout verifiable.
Zero friction
OAuth login, instant wallet generation, no browser extension. Play in under 60 seconds.
Passive Hatchery
Place upgraded Nests in the Hatchery to generate Eggs passively over time — no gameplay required.
Vision & Mission
We are building a gaming platform where skill translates directly into economic value — accessible to anyone, with no crypto knowledge required to get started.
Our Vision
A world where any player — regardless of geography, wealth, or blockchain experience — can earn real value from their skill in a competitive game. SOL Clash proves the model with Flappy Bird: a universally understood mechanic layered over a transparent on-chain economy.
Our Mission
- Skill-first rewards — Better players earn more $GOLD and BP per run, consistently and on-chain.
- Zero friction onboarding — OAuth sign-in, automatic wallet creation, no browser extension ever required.
- Transparent economy — All Gold-to-SOL swaps and Nest purchases are real Solana transactions, verifiable on-chain.
- Sustainable tokenomics — $GOLD is earned in-game and spent on Nest purchases, upgrades, and marketplace items — it circulates, not inflates.
- Passive income layer — Players who invest in Nests and upgrade them can generate passive Eggs via the Hatchery without active gameplay.
The problem we solve
Crypto complexity
Most Web3 games need MetaMask, seed phrases, and gas fees before you can even start. SOL Clash removes all of that.
Pay-to-win economies
Many "play-to-earn" games reward spending, not skill. Whales dominate. SOL Clash rewards actual performance.

How to play
SOL Clash is Flappy Bird with a real economy. Tap or press Space to flap your bird upward, navigate through pipe gaps, and collect $GOLD and Seed items along the way. Every competitive run costs 1 Energy and earns you real rewards.
Physics & controls
| Constant | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Gravity | 0.44 / frame | Bird falls each frame |
| Flap power | −8.2 velocity | Upward impulse on tap/click/Space |
| Pipe speed | 3 px / frame | Pipes scroll left |
| Bird start height | 40% of screen | Centered-left start position |
| Hitbox forgiveness | 10 px margin | Forgiving collision on all sides |
| Input | Action | Platform |
|---|---|---|
| Space / Enter | Flap bird upward | Desktop |
| Click / Tap | Flap bird upward | All |
Game states
Every run follows a fixed state machine: Idle (waiting on start screen) → Ready (bird floats, pipes frozen, waiting for first flap) → Playing (active run) → Dead (collision detected, game-over screen shown).
In the Ready state the bird oscillates with a sine-wave float
(sin(frame × 0.06) × 8 px). Pipes are invisible and frozen until
the first flap, giving you a moment to orient.
Pipe gaps (competitive)
Each pipe in Competitive mode has a randomly assigned gap size for added difficulty variance. Gap center is also randomised between 25% and 72% of screen height.
| Gap type | Size (% screen height) | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| Tight | 18% | 20% |
| Normal | 24% | 35% |
| Wide | 32% | 45% |
Pipes spawn every 180 frames in Competitive mode.
Free to Play mode
Practice mode lets anyone play the core game without spending Energy or earning rewards. It is intentionally harder than Competitive mode — making it a genuine training ground.
What Free to Play does NOT have
- No $GOLD or Seeds collected during the run
- No EXP awarded after game over
- No Battle Points (BP) earned
- Scores are NOT saved and do NOT count toward the leaderboard
- No energy gate — play as many times as you want
Difficulty difference
Free to Play spawns pipes every 110 frames (vs 180 in Competitive). Gaps are a fixed 30% of screen height — no variation. This gives a consistent but rapid-fire training experience.
Competitive mode
Every Competitive run costs 1 Energy and rewards you with $GOLD tokens, Seeds, Battle Points, and EXP — all calculated server-side and credited automatically when the game ends.
What happens in a competitive run
- Energy check — Each competitive run costs 1 Energy. If your Energy is at zero, the Play button is disabled and a countdown to the next regen tick is shown.
- Collectibles spawn —
$GOLD coins (500–1,000 $GOLD each) and
Seeds appear in pipe gaps. Spawn rates are governed by the Nests you own. - Score increments — Every pipe cleared = +1 point. Max 9,999 per run.
- Game ends — On collision the game tallies your score, collectibles, and run duration. Rewards are calculated and credited to your account automatically.
EXP & leveling
EXP is awarded after every competitive run based on your score and how long the run lasted. Longer, higher-scoring runs yield more EXP. You earn between 1 and 10 EXP per run depending on performance. Each level requires (level + 1) × 200 EXP to complete. Leveling up is cosmetic — it reflects overall experience on the platform.
Game-over screen rewards
After each competitive run the game-over screen displays:
- Final score and all-time best score
- EXP bar animation with level-up flash if a new level is reached
BP earned this run
Seeds collected this run
$GOLD collected this run- Remaining energy count + countdown to next regen tick
- Leaderboard button (opens paginated top-player modal)
Energy system
Energy gates access to Competitive mode. Every player has a fixed pool of
20 Energy slots. Each competitive run consumes 1.
Energy regenerates automatically via your Nests.
Regeneration rates by nest rarity
Each Nest you own runs its own independent regen timer tracked in the background. When you open the game or dashboard, elapsed ticks are calculated and credited automatically. More Nests = more parallel ticks = faster total refill.
| Nest rarity | Regen rate | Time to fill 20 slots (solo) |
|---|---|---|
Free |
1 energy per 4 hours | 80 hours |
Common |
1 energy per 1.5 hours | 30 hours |
Rare |
1 energy per 1 hour | 20 hours |
Legendary |
1 energy per 30 minutes | 10 hours |
Important rules
- Timer pauses when full — once at 20 energy, all nest timers pause until you play a game.
- All timers restart on depletion from full — playing the first game from a full bar restarts all nest timers from that moment.
- Energy display — shown as a segmented bar on the Dashboard and Play screen. Green = adequate, yellow = low.
- Zero energy — the Competitive Play button is disabled and shows a countdown: "Next in X h Y m Z s" based on the fastest upcoming nest tick.
Birds & skins
Choose your bird before each game on the start screen. Three birds are available. Bird choice is purely cosmetic — it does not affect physics, hitbox, or rewards.
Available birds
Bird 1
Bird 2
Bird 3
Each bird has two animation frames that alternate to simulate wing flapping. Your selected bird is saved to your account and displayed on the Leaderboard next to your score.
Wing-flap animation
Two image frames per bird alternate at approximately 5 fps (every 0.15–0.20 seconds depending on bird). The tilt of the bird in-flight scales with vertical velocity, clamped between −25° (nose up) and +70° (nose down into fall).
Rank system
Your rank is determined by cumulative Battle Points (BP).
BP only ever goes up — it is never spent or reset. Five ranks exist, each with a
unique badge and an increased reward multiplier for future reward tiers.
Rank tiers
Bronze
0 – 999 BP
Silver
1,000 – 4,999
Gold
5,000 – 14,999
Platinum
15,000 – 39,999
Diamond
40,000+ BP
How BP is earned
BP is awarded at the end of every Competitive run. The amount is randomly drawn from a range that scales with the rarest Nest you own:
| Rarest nest owned | BP per game (random range) |
|---|---|
Free only |
1 – 20 BP |
Common |
21 – 40 BP |
Rare |
41 – 70 BP |
Legendary |
71 – 100 BP |
BP spending (Nest upgrades)
BP is not just a rank metric — it is also spent on Nest upgrades alongside Seeds and $GOLD. See the Nest upgrades page for full upgrade costs.
$GOLD token
$GOLD is the native token of the SOL Clash ecosystem, launched on
pump.fun on the Solana blockchain. It is earned through competitive
gameplay, spent on Nest purchases and upgrades, and is deflationary by design —
the treasury burns 30% of its $GOLD holdings weekly.
Token overview
Deflationary by design
The SOL Clash treasury burns 30% of its held $GOLD every week. Every burn permanently removes tokens from circulation, reducing total supply over time.
Solana SPL token
$GOLD is a standard Solana SPL token launched via pump.fun. It lives on-chain and can be held in any Solana-compatible wallet.
Play to earn
Each pipe cleared during a Competitive run has a chance to drop 500–1,000 $GOLD. Collected $GOLD is paid out to your wallet daily at 12:00 PM GMT+8.
Swappable to SOL
Swap your $GOLD balance directly to SOL from the Dashboard. The rate is based on the live SOL/$GOLD market price — no third-party exchange needed.
Contract address
Weekly treasury burn
Every week, the SOL Clash treasury wallet burns 30% of its $GOLD balance. Burned tokens are sent to a verifiable dead address on Solana, permanently removing them from the circulating supply. This mechanism creates consistent deflationary pressure over time, rewarding long-term holders and players who accumulate $GOLD through gameplay.
All burn transactions are on-chain and publicly verifiable. Burn events will be announced on official social channels with the transaction signature for transparency.
Earning $GOLD — how it works
During every Competitive run,
$GOLD
coins appear inside pipe gaps. Each pipe that has a $GOLD drop awards between
500 and 1,000 $GOLD when your bird passes through it.
The spawn rate of gold coins per pipe depends on the Nests you own — better Nests
produce gold coins more frequently.
Scheduled Gold Payout
$GOLD does not credit instantly to your wallet mid-game. Instead, a Scheduled Gold Payout system runs at a fixed time every day — 12:00 PM GMT+8. All $GOLD collected across your competitive runs during the day is tallied and automatically transferred to your generated Solana wallet at payout time. No manual claiming required.
Spending $GOLD
- Nest purchases — buy any Nest from the Marketplace using $GOLD instead of SOL. The $GOLD price is calculated using the live SOL/$GOLD market rate at time of purchase.
- Nest upgrades — each upgrade level requires $GOLD alongside Battle Points and Seeds (see Nest upgrades page).
- Marketplace items — consumables and skins (planned for future updates).
Swapping $GOLD to SOL
Use the Swap tool in your Dashboard to convert $GOLD into real SOL. A small 2% fee applies. The minimum swap amount is 102 $GOLD. The conversion uses the live SOL/$GOLD market rate at the time of the swap. SOL is sent directly to your in-game Solana wallet and the transaction is verifiable on-chain. If anything goes wrong during the transfer, your $GOLD is automatically refunded.
Nest purchase prices
| Nest | SOL price | $GOLD price | Payment methods |
|---|---|---|---|
Free Nest |
0 SOL | Free | Auto-granted on signup |
Ice Nest (Common) |
~0.35 SOL | Based on live SOL/$GOLD rate | SOL or $GOLD |
Volcano Nest (Rare) |
~0.75 SOL | Based on live SOL/$GOLD rate | SOL or $GOLD |
Cosmic Nest (Legendary) |
~1.2 SOL | Based on live SOL/$GOLD rate | SOL or $GOLD |
Nests
Nests are the core asset of SOL Clash. Every account receives one Free Nest on signup. Owning better Nests gives you faster Energy regeneration, higher BP per game, and access to the Hatchery (farm).
The four nest types
Nest benefits at a glance
| Rarity | Energy regen | BP per game | Upgradeable? | Hatchery eligible? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 / 4 h | 1–20 | ❌ No | ❌ No |
| Common | 1 / 1.5 h | 21–40 | ✅ Up to Lvl 5 | ✅ At Lvl 3+ |
| Rare | 1 / 1 h | 41–70 | ✅ Up to Lvl 5 | ✅ At Lvl 3+ |
| Legendary | 1 / 30 min | 71–100 | ✅ Up to Lvl 5 | ✅ At Lvl 3+ |
Multiple nests
You can own multiple Nests. Each one runs its own independent energy regen timer in parallel. Owning 3 Rare Nests, for example, generates 3 ticks per hour — tripling refill speed compared to a single Rare Nest. There is no cap on how many Nests you can own.
BP is determined by the rarest nest you own, not the total count. So owning 10 Common Nests still awards 21–40 BP per game; you need at least one Rare or Legendary to unlock higher BP ranges.
Nest upgrades
Non-Free Nests can be upgraded up to Level 5 via the Inventory screen.
Each upgrade costs a combination of
Battle Points,
Seeds, and
$GOLD.
Upgrades unlock Hatchery access at Lvl 3 and increase Egg production at Lvl 4 and 5.
Upgrade costs per level step
| Level step | BP |
Seeds |
$GOLD |
Unlock |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 → 1 | 350 | 50 | 50,000 | — |
| 1 → 2 | 500 | 110 | 120,000 | — |
| 2 → 3 | 800 | 160 | 250,000 | Hatchery access |
| 3 → 4 | 1,000 | 220 | 350,000 | Faster egg rate |
| 4 → 5 | 1,300 | 300 | 500,000 | Max egg rate |
Total cost to max (Lvl 0 → 5)
How upgrades work
- Upgrade via the Inventory page → click a Nest → Upgrade tab.
- The system verifies you have enough BP, Seeds, and $GOLD before applying the upgrade.
- Resources are deducted all at once — the upgrade either fully applies or nothing is deducted.
- Free Nests cannot be upgraded — the Upgrade tab is hidden for them.
Hatchery / Farm
The Hatchery is a passive income layer. Place your upgraded Nests
(Lvl 3+) into the Hatchery and they generate Eggs over time —
no active gameplay required. Collect your Eggs when they're ready.
Access requirements
- Only non-Free Nests at Level 3 or higher are eligible for the Hatchery.
- Nests can be placed and removed at any time from the Farm page.
- Multiple Nests can run simultaneously in the Hatchery.
Egg production rates
| Nest rarity | Lvl 3 rate | Lvl 4 rate | Lvl 5 rate |
|---|---|---|---|
Common |
1 egg / 90 min | 1 egg / 60 min | 1 egg / 30 min |
Rare |
2 eggs / 90 min | 2 eggs / 60 min | 2 eggs / 30 min |
Legendary |
3 eggs / 90 min | 3 eggs / 60 min | 3 eggs / 30 min |
How hatching works
- Open the Farm page. The fullscreen farm map shows your hatchery hotspot.
- Eggs accumulate in the background as time passes. The client shows a live countdown per Nest.
- When a Nest has pending eggs, a Hatch button activates.
- Tap Hatch — all pending eggs are collected at once and the timer resets.
- Your total eggs hatched are tracked in your profile.
Reward structure
Every Competitive run distributes four distinct resource types. The quantity of each scales with your performance and the Nests you own.
Reward types per run
$GOLD
Each pipe with a gold drop awards 500–1,000 $GOLD. Paid out daily at 12:00 PM GMT+8 directly to your Solana wallet. Swappable to SOL any time.
Seeds
Collected mid-run. Used exclusively for Nest upgrades. Capped at 50 Seeds max per run to keep rewards fair.
Battle Points
Awarded after every run based on your rarest Nest. Determines rank and required for upgrades.
EXP
Awarded based on score and run duration. Fills your EXP bar; leveling up is cosmetic at this stage.
Collectible spawn rates
The rate at which
$GOLD and
Seeds appear in pipe gaps is
governed by the Nests in your inventory. The Inventory page shows a live
Drop Rate panel that displays the current seed/gold spawn percentages
based on what you own.
Fair reward enforcement
All rewards are validated before being credited. A minimum cooldown is enforced between score submissions to prevent rapid-fire farming. Seeds collected per run are capped at 50 maximum regardless of in-game events. This ensures the reward economy stays balanced and fair for all players.
Marketplace
The Marketplace is where players purchase Nests to unlock better Energy regen, higher BP ranges, and Hatchery access. Two payment methods are available for every Nest: SOL (on-chain) or $GOLD (instant).
Available nests
Payment methods
Pay with SOL
Real on-chain Solana transaction from your in-game wallet to the store. Transaction is confirmed on-chain before the Nest is granted to your inventory.
Pay with $GOLD
Instant balance deduction from your in-game $GOLD. No separate blockchain transaction needed. Price is based on the live SOL/$GOLD market rate at time of purchase.
SOL purchase flow
- Select a Nest and choose SOL as payment method.
- Your in-game custodial wallet signs and broadcasts the SOL transfer to the store wallet.
- The transaction is confirmed on the Solana network before proceeding.
- Once confirmed, the Nest is added to your inventory with a unique tag (e.g. Ice Nest#4728).
Leaderboard
The global leaderboard ranks all players by Total Score — the cumulative sum of every point scored across all competitive games ever played. The Top 20 players each season share a 5,000,000 $GOLD reward pool.
Reward pool distribution
At the end of each season the 5,000,000 $GOLD prize pool is distributed to the top 20 players based on their final leaderboard position.
| Place | Pool share | $GOLD payout |
|---|---|---|
| 🥇 1st place | 40% | 2,000,000 $GOLD |
| 🥈 2nd place | 25% | 1,250,000 $GOLD |
| 🥉 3rd place | 15% | 750,000 $GOLD |
| 4th – 15th place | 20% shared equally | ~83,333 $GOLD each |
How the leaderboard works
- Metric: Total Score — increases by your score every competitive run. Never resets mid-season.
- Best score: Your single-game high score is also displayed per player for reference.
- Real-time display: Paginated 5 players per page, accessible from the game-over screen after every competitive run.
- Player identity: Shown as a truncated wallet address with avatar and rank badge.
- Bird preview: Each leaderboard row shows the bird skin the player has selected.
Your wallet
Every SOL Clash account includes a custodial Solana wallet generated automatically at signup. No browser extension, no Phantom, no prior crypto knowledge needed. Your wallet is secure, functional, and immediately ready to receive SOL.
Wallet generation
- A random 12-word seed phrase is generated automatically when you first log in.
- Your Solana keypair is derived from that seed phrase using the standard Solana derivation path.
- All key material is encrypted at rest using strong encryption. Your plain wallet address is what is shown on your dashboard for receiving deposits.
Wallet features
Deposit SOL
Copy your wallet address from the Dashboard and send SOL from any exchange or wallet. Balance updates live via Solana RPC.
QR Code
Tap the QR icon to display a scannable QR code of your wallet address for easy mobile deposits.
Swap $GOLD → SOL
Convert earned $GOLD to real SOL using the live SOL/$GOLD market rate. Minimum 102 $GOLD, 2% fee. SOL is sent directly to your wallet — no third-party exchange needed.
Seed phrase export
Hold the "Reveal" button in Settings for 3 seconds to decrypt and display your 12-word seed phrase. Import it into Phantom or any Solana wallet.
Single-device session
Only one active session is allowed per account at a time. If you log in on a second device, the first session is invalidated automatically. This prevents shared-account reward farming and keeps the leaderboard fair.
Fair play
Every competitive run is validated server-side before rewards are issued. Cheating produces no benefit — rewards simply don't process if anomalies are detected.
Anti-cheat measures in place
Score rate limiting
A minimum cooldown is enforced between score submissions. Rapid-fire farming attempts are blocked automatically.
Seed cap
Seeds are capped at 50 per run regardless of what is reported. Any value above the cap is silently truncated before crediting.
Energy gate
Competitive runs cost 1 Energy and Energy regenerates over real time. Automated bots are throttled by the Energy system.
Single-session lock
One active session per account at all times. Multi-device reward farming is blocked by session ID invalidation.
On-chain verification
All SOL purchases are verified on-chain before inventory is updated. No front-running or fake transaction attacks.
Auth requirement
All reward endpoints require an active authenticated session. Unauthenticated API calls are rejected with HTTP 401.
Roadmap
SOL Clash is live and actively developed. Below is the current state of each phase based on what is actually implemented in the platform today.
